Moments That Made History
Remembering the Sidewinders
The Sidewinders were more than a Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks; they were Tucson’s team. With every whack of the bat and cheer of the crowd, they wove themselves into the fabric of the city’s sports culture.
From walk-off wins and future MLB stars, to kids catching foul balls and families making memories under the Arizona sun — the Sidewinders era was a decade of baseball magic we’ll never forget.
2006: A Season to Remember
There would be no tribute that would fail to celebrate the peak of the Sidewinders’ success – the 2006 Pacific Coast League Championship. With a talented roster and fan support that was passionate, the team charged through the season with determination and heart and took home the title and their name in PCL history.
A Legacy That Lives On
Although the Sidewinders played their last game in 2008, the spirit of the team lives on in our stories, photos and memories. This site is devoted to maintaining that legacy – honoring the players, coaches, fans, and the indelible moments that made every summer in Tucson something special.
